What They Are

Our wooden wicks come from sustainably managed timber sources, are biodegradable, and offer a more natural alternative to cotton or metal-core wicks. When lit, the flame dances across the wood grain and creates not just illumination — but a hushed, crackling whisper of light. The wood wick releases not just flame, but a ritual of transformation from piece to glow.

Why They’re Different

A multi-sensory ritual: The gentle crackle of a wood-wick turning to flame evokes a fireplace’s calm and invites you to slow your breath.

Stronger fragrance release: Because the flame spreads heat more evenly, fragrance oils unlock their notes more fully and fill your space more deeply and richly.

A new aesthetic of calm: The minimalist silhouette of the wood wick and the soft horizontal flame complement a refined space and lend quiet sophistication to your ritual.

How to Use & Care for Them

Before lighting, make sure the wood wick is upright and centered in the wax.

  • On first use, allow the wax to melt to the vessel’s edges to establish a full melt-pool.

  • Trim the charred tip of the wood wick (about 1/8″ / ~3-5 mm) before each relight to preserve clean burn quality.

  • Place the candle away from drafts and flammable materials — a steady environment ensures the crackle remains soft, not disruptive.
